Can You Follow Your Meat?  I Do, From The Field To My Fork!

I am what they call Ketovore or animal-based.   Probably 99% of the time I adhere to this for multiple reasons.  My #1 reason is to keep cancer from creeping back up on me.  Cancer feeds on sugar, which is in just about every single processed food you pick up.  I mean EVERYTHING.  Whether you like it or not the bread and pasta you eat are also considered sugar because of the way the body processes it.  Plain and simple.

So, where do I get most of my meat?  I am very proud to say I buy local!  My client and my friend Jessica Cable and her husband own Field To Fork Cattle Co. in Hebron.  I love the fact that I know where my meat comes from and that they take care of their animals with compassion and love.

While I could go on and tell you about their company, I think it’s best to hear it from them!  I asked Jessica for a bio or their “why” because I think it’s important that you hear from them in their own words.

Full disclosure YES I designed their website too!  In fact I have designed multiple for her and that makes her extra special to me.

So let me introduce you to Jessica!

Field to Fork Cattle Co was created from a deep passion for farming and a desire to bring transparency and trust to our local food system. For years, we’ve raised livestock and sold it directly to contracted buyers, but we kept hearing the same thing over and over: people want to know where their food comes from. They want a connection to the source, confidence in the quality, and transparency in the process. We realized we could meet that need by offering our beef and pork directly to our community, so Field to Fork was born.

As a family-run farm, Field to Fork is so much more than a business—it’s our way of life. We involve our kids in the daily operations and see this as a legacy we’re building for both them and the community we love. Every part of our process is personal, and we take pride in knowing that the meat we raise is helping feed families in our area.

Our beef is pasture-raised and grain-finished, with the grain grown right here on our farm. We take extra steps to ensure the highest quality by performing water and feed sampling to guarantee our animals are healthy and cared for. One of the things we hear most often from first-time customers is how much better our beef tastes than what they’re used to buying at the grocery store. That difference comes from the care, attention, and dedication we put into every step of the process.

We understand that there are people out there who prefer grass-finished beef, and while we don’t offer that, we’re incredibly thankful to live in a world that provides options. Our goal is to provide transparency about what we offer so that you can feel confident and comfortable feeding our meat to your family. We take great pride in telling our story, raising our animals with care, and being proud of the product we provide. While we support all farmers and everyone in agriculture, we’re proud to say that we raise top-tier beef.

We’ve partnered with a local processor who has been thoroughly vetted, maintains required certifications, and works with us to ensure that the beef we raised with care is packaged with the same level of care.

Buying local isn’t just about supporting a small farm like ours—it’s about knowing the quality of what you’re feeding your family, fostering a connection with your food, and strengthening the local economy. When you buy from Field to Fork, you’re not just purchasing meat—you’re investing in a system that values transparency, sustainability, and ethical farming practices.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received and the relationships we’ve built along the way. We look forward to continuing to grow Field to Fork Cattle Co into a trusted source for high-quality, locally-raised meat.
